There I was, sitting in a worship service unlike any I've been in for a very long time. God's pressence was so evident you could say "I've tasted and know" because the His Spirit was permiating every element of the meeting. The dramatic scripture presentation "Follow the Faith" had just finished when I reached for my cell phone to take a picture. That's when I noticed the plea for prayer on my text message inbox. It said, "My mom's back in the hospital. Pray! Pray! Pray!".
This plea came last evening, thus I am passing the request on to you. Please commit to time in prayer for Donna. She is a dear friend who was given six months to live with stomach cancer. Her six months have been stretched to almost two years now because God has purposed for her to be here longer. Please pray for God's perfect will to play out, for hearts and minds to be ready for His work, for Donna's passion for life and service for her King to draw people closer to Him through all of this. You might even pray "Abba, if You will, please heal Donna. She is a blessing and challenge to others for commitment and growth in Your Way. Nevertheless, let Your will, not mine be done."
